Breece Hall injured. Jonathan Taylor dropping in value. Who really is the Dynasty RB #1?

As with many things, it’s not a cut & dried question.  To be honest, I personally never actually had Taylor as my RB1, in any format.

I rarely do startups any more–but if I did, I would realistically probably go WR at 1.01 in a standard league, or QB in a Superflex. If I was in a spot in the first round where the WR/QB on the board didn’t have the value, I would probably consider Taylor–but I have always had D’Andre Swift higher than Taylor on my boards, and probably would in most formats today. This would hold for rebuilds as well. I hate the way that the Lions use him–I think he should be getting 65-75% of touches at RB–but I get that they’re trying to keep him healthy…even if it’s not really working.

In the case of a team that’s trying to win now, personally I would still go Nick Chubb at RB1–even at age 26.  Like Swift, I think that even only getting 50-60% of the touches, he puts up RB1 level numbers.

USATSI It has been more than a year since I’ve changed my No. 1 running back in my Dynasty rankings. And to be honest, I thought it would be at least another year before I considered it. After all, Jonathan Taylor is still just 23 years old and he […]
